What Shipped, and When

Dated entries for the changes a merchant would notice. Newest first.

  1. Look after a member's card without leaving the admin

Subscriptions grew a Card Details screen for changing an expiry or a billing address, and a Charge Now button for retrying a payment while the customer is on the phone. A monthly warning lists the cards about to expire, so a membership does not lapse because nobody noticed.

  2. Stock on an option, without turning it into a variant

A question on a product, like whether a copy is signed, can now carry its own stock. The choice greys out when those run out, and the rest of the product keeps selling. Previously the only way to count a limited option was to make it a separate variant.

  3. A gift card page a shop can build

Gift cards and gift certificates get their own page in the page builder, at the address a shop already uses, with balance checking and redemption at checkout.

  4. Wholesale accounts that apply for themselves

A trade buyer can apply for a wholesale account from the storefront, with the questions a shop wants answered, and be approved or declined from the admin. Approval switches on their group pricing the moment they sign in.

  5. Purchase orders, net terms and a page to pay an invoice on

A trade customer can check out on a purchase order with their PO number, accounts payable email and cost centre, billed on agreed terms rather than collected at the till. Unpaid orders get a card page to settle on, and the aging report tracks what is owed.

  6. Six carriers quoting live

USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Canada Post and Australia Post all quote real rates in the basket on your own carrier accounts, so the price a customer sees is the price you pay. EasyPost and Shippo are there for buying labels.

  7. Search that understands a catalogue

Storefront search moved to Meilisearch, with its own index per shop: typo tolerance, instant suggestions as a shopper types, and results that respect what each customer group is allowed to see.

  8. 94,000 orders migrated in 58 minutes

PM Press moved from SunShop with their full order history, customers, catalogue and images. The largest single migration so far took 58 minutes from start to finish.

  9. Bring your own domain, with the certificate handled

Point a domain at your shop and the certificate is issued and renewed for you. No DNS gymnastics, no yearly renewal to forget.

  10. Take card payments into your own Stripe account

Connect a Stripe account you already own and charges go straight into it rather than through us, which also keeps your payout schedule and your own negotiated rates.

  11. Pay by bank account with ACH

Authorize.net eCheck lets a customer pay straight from a bank account, which on a large trade order costs a fraction of card processing.

  12. Stock in more than one place

Inventory can live across several warehouses, with shipping quoted from whichever one holds the goods, and orders split across them when they do not all sit together.
